Khairil Erwan Khalid
Dr. Khairil is a Consultant Infectious Disease Physician, currently practicing at Hospital Kuala Lumpur since 2018. He graduated with an MBBS from University of Malaya in 2005 and obtained his MRCP (UK) in 2011. He was trained in Infectious Diseases at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Sungai Buloh and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, UK. He has published in clinical journals on the specialty of infectious diseases, particularly on the topics of HIV, STIs, severe dengue, covid and antimicrobial stewardship.
Dr. Khairil is also currently the Head of Infection Control Unit in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Despite his busy schedule at the hospital, he is actively involved at the level of Ministry of Health in drafting national guidelines on HIV, STIs, Mpox and National Antimicrobial Guideline.
