Tan Jiunn Liang
Dr. Jiunn Liang Tan is a Consultant Chest Physician and Internal Medicine Specialist at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and UM Specialist Centre, Kuala Lumpur. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he holds a Fellowship in Respiratory Medicine and is a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology (FAPSR). Dr. Tan has served in multiple clinical roles across Malaysia and is actively involved in both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research, particularly in lung cancer, COPD, and severe asthma.
He has contributed as a sub-investigator in over 40 trials and is currently a principal investigator in several international studies. A recipient of numerous awards for academic and service excellence, Dr. Tan also plays leadership roles in professional societies including the Malaysian Thoracic Society, APSR, and MMA. He chairs the UMMC Lung Cancer MDT and is actively engaged in public health education and training through St John Ambulans Malaysia and various national congresses.
