Asiah Kassim

Dr. Asiah Kassim is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Respiratory Specialist currently serving as the Head of the Respiratory Unit in the Department of Paediatrics at Hospital Tunku Azizah (Women and Children Hospital), Kuala Lumpur. She also holds the position of Head of the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) at the same institution, where she plays a pivotal role in leading clinical investigations and advancing paediatric healthcare research. Dr. Asiah earned her medical degree (MBBS) and Master of Paediatrics from the University of Malaya, one of Malaysia’s premier medical institutions. She further specialized in paediatric respiratory medicine through the Paediatric Respiratory Fellowship Programme under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Her clinical interests and expertise lie in the management of complex paediatric respiratory disorders, and she is deeply involved in developing and improving clinical pathways for respiratory care in children. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Asiah is actively involved in academic mentorship, research development, and evidence-based policy implementation. Through her leadership at the Clinical Research Centre, she advocates for high-quality clinical trials and supports collaborative research initiatives aimed at improving child health outcomes nationally and internationally
