Anmol Kaur Manjit Singh

She obtained her Diploma in Physiotherapy from the College of Physiotherapy, Health Department Federal Territory, Kuala Lumpur in 2003, followed by a Bachelor's degree from the University of Teesside, United Kingdom in 2008, and subsequently completed her Master’s degree at the University of Malaya. With over two decades of clinical experience, Madam Anmol has worked extensively across multiple physiotherapy domains including sports, orthopaedics, surgical, medical, paediatrics, neurosurgical, intensive care (ICU/CICU), women’s health, spinal and geriatric rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, and palliative physiotherapy. Her core interest lies in Pulmonary Rehabilitation, a field in which she has been a pioneer at UMMC. Since 2012, she has led the development and implementation of both outpatient and inpatient pulmonary physiotherapy programs in the Physiotherapy Division, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. In her role as Senior Rehabilitation Medicine Officer (Physiotherapy), she oversees and coordinates physiotherapy services for multiple departments, including the respiratory, infectious disease, and psychiatric wards. She works closely with chest physicians and rehabilitation specialists to provide a holistic, interdisciplinary model of care for her patients. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Madam Anmol is actively involved in education and research. She regularly delivers lectures on pulmonary rehabilitation to medical students at the University of Malaya and has contributed as a co-author and co-investigator to various physiotherapy research projects. She is also a frequent speaker at both national and international conferences and workshops, particularly in the areas of respiratory physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and post-COVID-19 recovery. Her leadership extends to professional organizations, where she serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association’s Special Interest Group for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physiotherapy (since 2021) and has been the Group Leader for the Malaysian Thoracic Society’s Special Interest Group for Pulmonary Rehabilitation since 2018. An active contributor to institutional and national events, Madam Anmol has served as both a committee member and facilitator for numerous initiatives. She is also a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Trainer for Lay Rescuers at UMMC, further exemplifying her dedication to healthcare education and community service.
