Mahfuzah Mohamad Azranyi

Mahfuzah Binti Mohamad Azranyi is a Medical Laboratory Scientist at the National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory, Ministry of Health Malaysia. With over 20 years of experience in clinical mycobacteriology, she specialises in the identification and drug susceptibility testing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), focusing on Mycobacteroides abscessus complex. She leads initiatives in developing multiplex PCR assays and next-generation sequencing applications for NTM diagnosis and drug resistance profiling. Mahfuzah has presented her work at international and local conferences, contributing to national efforts in NTM surveillance, laboratory quality standards, and the advancement of diagnostic technologies.
