Andrew Fisher
Andrew Fisher is Professor of Respiratory Transplant Medicine at Newcastle University and a Consultant Physician at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust.
He is Director of the NIHR Research Unit in Organ Donation and Transplantation and leads a group working on the lung transplant pathway from donor organ optimisation to long term outcomes after lung transplantation. He has published extensively including a recent invited comprehensive review in the New England Journal of Medicine and is a Past President of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and currently sits on the Council of the British Transplantation Society.
