Gerard Meachery
Originally from Johor and a graduate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Professor/ Dr Meachery leads many initiatives of the Heart and Lung Transplant programme, including the re-establishment of the Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) programme at the Freeman Hospital. He is focused on building strong national and international training and educational partnerships with especially strong links to Malaysia and now to RUMC in Penang. His interests focus on service improvements, clinical transplant outcomes, clinical trials and is committed to developing and mentoring medical students and doctors at every stage of their professional journey.
